Attention!! Truck drivers you have until December 16th of this year to remove your

Automatic OnBoard Recording Devices and switch to an Electronic Logging Device of

some kind. December 16th is the same date that Texas is requiring people who prepare

logs and then transport them, to also have ELDs in their vehicles. Many motor carriers

are waiting until the fourth quarter to make this transition. However, be cautious

because the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and the Texas Department of

Public Safety will not give drivers a grace period to make the switch. In other words,

change to an ELDs sooner rather than later.
