Canada has announced that all commercial motor vehicles will have to gave ELDs by June 2021. This

isn't a big change because many of their trucks already have ELDs because they haul cross-border

freight into the United States on their day to day routes. Transport Canada believes that the

increased ELD use will reduce fatigue-related crashes among Canadian truckers by 10 percent.
