Safe Driver Week
The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance released some data on July's Operation Safe Driver Week. The drive behind this
campaign was to make sure that all drivers were in compliance with the traffic laws in both United States and Canada.
Automobile drivers received 92% of the speeding tickets issued with 16,192 citations, versus just 1,454 for commercial
vehicle drivers. The top tickets given out during Operation Safe Driver Week were: speeding, seat belts, not obeying
traffic control devices, mobile phone use, improper lane change, and tailgating. Keep up the great work commercial
vehicle drivers! The dates for 2020's Operation Safe Driver Week will be released by the end of this year.
