Annual Brake Safety Week will take place in the middle of September this year. This

year's emphasis will be on brake hoses and tubing. Those two aspects are an essential

component to a vehicle's mechanical fitness and safety. Brake hoses have to be in

perfect condition, properly attached, have no leaks, and be the right amount of flexible.

Last year 45% of vehicles that were put out-of-service were due to brake violations.

Brake violations account for 6 out of the top 10 violations cited in all roadside

inspections. Consider this your reminder to get your brake hoses or tubing checked or

replaced before September!
